Expressions of Interest sought for Maldives Alumni Idea Hub

Australia Awards alumni from Maldives are encouraged to apply to participate in the upcoming Alumni Idea Hub. The main purpose of this workshop is to create an interdisciplinary platform that advocates for collaboration and strategic alignment among Australia Awards – Maldives alumni working across development sectors. Alumni representing all sectors are encouraged to apply, with a preference for those that address climate change; governance; tourism; education; or gender equality, diversity and social inclusion (GEDSI) issues.

The cross-sectoral nature of Australian and Maldivian development initiatives highlights the need for collaboration among professionals with varied expertise. Bringing together professionals from diverse sectors encourages strengthened approaches that are more holistic, sustainable and impactful. This synergistic approach not only builds individual and collective capacity but also strengthens the overall Australia Awards alumni network in a practical and impactful way.

This workshop will serve as a dynamic forum where participants can share current and upcoming projects, seek interdisciplinary feedback and expertise, explore collaborative opportunities, and build lasting professional relationships across sectors.

Moreover, the Alumni Idea Hub will serve as a mechanism to gain ongoing professional support, enhance the visibility of alumni expertise and impact, and encourage continuous engagement with development initiatives.

The deadline for submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI) is 15 November 2025. All Australia Awards alumni from Maldives are eligible for this opportunity. The EOI template can be downloaded below.
